  1. Use a condom or other protection. Use a new condom every time you have sex, especially during anal sex but ideally during oral sex as well.
  2. Be monogamous.
  3. Limit the amount of alcohol you drink, and don’t use drugs.
  4. Get vaccinated.
  5. Get tested and have your partner tested.
  6. Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
