The new Z 785 is also more forgiving than the past model due to a lightweight carbon crown that allows for a lower and deeper CG location. Customized adjustability is provided by Srixon’s Quick Tune system that allows for fast loft lie and face angle adjustment as well as swing weight alterations via a choice of interchangeable weights (4g 6g 8g 10g 12g).
None of the above matters if you can’t aim your putter correctly Experiment with offset and straight-in hosels — you’ll definitely aim one type better than the other. Then check the alignment marks. Do you prefer lines that run parallel to the target? How many lines? These are important questions that can best be answered through a proper fitting.
As is the case with the drivers the TS2 fairway features a fixed CG location that’s low and deep for high launching mid-spin shots while the TS3’s CG can be customized via Titleist’s SureFit CG technology. In general the TS3 will produce a slightly lower trajectory than the TS2 and offers more shot shaping versatility.

Matching putter type to stroke shape isn’t a great fitting strategy. In fact research indicates that how you “release” the putter is much more critical. For those considering this good-looking new stick it promotes a more boring low-spin trajectory and enhanced workability over the non-adjustable Z 585 model.
The new Titleist TS2 and TS3 drivers and fairway woods are the result of a concerted effort by the company to improve distance results in its long clubs. Titleist engineers have been designing top-notch drivers for some time as witnessed by major wins by players like Jordan Spieth Jimmy Walker and others.
The Mini Driver which TaylorMade offered in SLDR and AeroBurner models was a very cool product. It nicely bridged the gap between a driver and fairway wood. For a lot of players that was a perfect fit as the added loft and shorter shaft of the Mini gave them exactly what they needed.

The new TS2 features several design elements that contribute to making it significantly longer than the previous 917 D2 including an extremely thin titanium crown that’s approximately 20% thinner.
